Ingredients
3 large shredded wheat biscuits (about 2[1/2] ounces)
6 ounces dark chocolate (60% to 70% cocoa solids), chopped
⅓ cup dried cherries (2 ounces)
Directions
Line a baking sheet with wax paper. With your hands, crush the shredded wheat into thread-like pieces into a small bowl.
Place the chocolate into the top of a double boiler set over barely simmering water. Make sure the bottom of the pan does not touch the water. Melt the chocolate, stirring frequently, for about 1 minute. Remove the pan from the heat. Add the crushed shredded wheat and the cherries to the chocolate and stir until well coated.
With your fingers, place tablespoon-size stacks of the cereal-chocolate mixture onto the wax paper. Place in the refrigerator to cool and set, about 20 minutes. Store and serve at room temperature.
