This tasty, milk-shake-like smoothie with oats is packed with protein, fiber, and nutrients from whole fruit, old fashioned rolled oats, and kefir, a delightful, drinkable yogurt. Fruit Smoothie with Oats and Kefir

 

Ingredients

1 medium very ripe banana, cut into chunks and frozen
4 large hulled strawberries or ¾ cup blueberries
¾ cup plain kefir, whole milk or low-fat (or substitute ½ cup plain yogurt and ¼ cup milk)
¼ cup old fashioned rolled oats
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Directions
Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
